THE QUEEN COULDN'T CHOOSE & REFUSES TO APOLOGIZE

A Double Coronation, A Missing June Newsletter, and Zero Accountability: An Investigation Into My Own Government

In a stunning act of royal decree that legal experts (the King, from the couch, unpaid) are calling "not how calendars work," the Queen of Smut™ has crowned TWO Books of the Month in a single issue. Not a tie. Not bigamy. Something worse :- retroactive governance.⸮

‍Let the record show what happened. June happened, is what happened. June's newsletter was, and I say this with love, a hostage situation. It came out looking like it was written during a fire drill BY the fire. And a book like Forged in the Fire (Crimson Crows #1) by A.L. Jackson deserved better than being crowned in a burning building. So I did what any responsible monarch would do -- I buried June's newsletter in an unmarked grave, waited a respectful amount of time (three weeks), and am NOW issuing June's crown with the full pomp, ceremony, and emotional damage it deserved from the start.

JUNE'S BOOK OF THE MONTH: Forged in the Fire — A.L. Jackson. 👑

This book didn't just live rent-free in my head, babes. It changed the locks, redecorated, and started charging ME rent. The Crimson Crows MC came into my life wearing leather and bad intentions and I have not been the same person since. The tension is criminal. The angst is weaponized. I was forged, hammered, and reshaped exactly like the title warned me and I simply refused to listen because reading comprehension leaves my body the moment a morally gray man enters a room.

Full sermon receipts: the Instagram post where I lost it publicly & the Goodreads review where I lost it in long form.

Forged in the Fire by A.L. Jackson is a raw, intense read that grips your soul and sets your heart racing. Dive into a world of passion, loyalty, and unbreakable bonds. This book will leave you breathless and craving more.

🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And July‽ July gets her own queen, crowned ON TIME, because I am capable of growth (once, briefly, don't get used to it):

‍ ‍

JULY'S BOOK OF THE MONTH: Sweet Salvation (Love & Legacy #5) — Bella Matthews. 👑

Sweet Salvation walked into my July and performed an exorcism on my emotional baggage. It made my Top 8 at the NUMBER ONE spot and it earned it the honest way -- by hurting me first ❦ Bella Matthews writes feelings like she has a personal vendetta against my tear ducts, and honestly? Respect. This is the kind of book you finish at 3am, stare at the ceiling, and then text nobody because who would understand

Receipts, your honor:the Instagram meltdown & the Goodreads sermon.

So no, Dungeon Babes, the Queen did not "forget June." The Queen SIMPLY declared June's paperwork invalid and reissued it under better management. The empire runs on vibes, caffeine, a selective memory. Case closed. Court adjourned. Crowns distributed.

Hellen "Elle" Mitchell

Welcome to Queen Of Smut™, where the only thing hotter than the coffee is the romance I’m reading. 🖤✨

I’m here to drag you into the twisted worlds of shifters, vampires, and all things deliciously dark. If you’re into dragon-sized spice, wolfish men who bite, and love stories so twisted they could make a pretzel jealous, then step right in—I've got just the page for you.

As an ARC/Beta reader and lover of all things that burn, I’m your go-to for the most scandalous, jaw-dropping, heart-racing reads. Think dark romance with a side of danger, reverse harem with a sprinkle of sarcasm, and every book more addictive than the last.

Dare to join me? Well, buckle up, because the only thing more dangerous than these books is my sarcasm. 🌹💋
